2008 Theme: Missions as Integration of Justice and Evangelism
LCI's Summer Encounter program incorporates personal development, learning about global missions perspectives, cultural interaction, and service opportunities in a 9 week summer experience. Some of the specific activities to accomplish this include:
- Devotional times, deeper Bible studies, prayer, journaling
- Classes and book studies in:
- This year's theme, "Right the Wrong" based on Isaiah 1:17
- Expanding our personal perspective into a more biblical worldview
- Personal responsibility
- Understanding community concepts
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Homestays with local pastors and other cultural interaction
Who:
Christian students and adults ages 18 and up who have interest in growing in their faith and learning about culture and missions.
In addition to those who come directly through LCI, we also welcome students referred by partner ministries, such as Navigators, Touch the World, Global Infusion, and Youth Unlimited.

$1,625 not including transportation to El Paso
